Competitive

Competitive Soccer is the highest level of soccer offered at St. Charles Soccer for male and female age groups U-10 through U-18. All players and teams are trained by licensed coaches. Teams are managed by a parent volunteer. A high level of commitment, support and dedicated time are expected from players and parents participating in competitive soccer.

Only the most committed players will be offered roster placement on Competitive teams through evaluations. Players we cannot place in the competitive program will be offered a place on a Senior Recreation team.

PLAYER EVALUATIONS give each player the opportunity to earn a position on a team, based on that individual player’s technical and athletic ability, fitness, understanding of soccer tactics, and psychological components (attitude). Evaluations occur after each season over the course of several days. It is recommended that players attend all evaluation dates. Players will be notified of their team placement by a set date. U8 Pre Academy Program

St. Charles Soccer U8 Pre-Academy

The St. Charles Soccer Pre-Academy program is not tryout based. Any player that has the desire and drive to participate in the Pre-Academy program is welcome to enroll and participate. Players will have the option to register for Recreational, or Pre-Academy when signing up for soccer.

What is it?

The Pre-Academy program provides the player who wants more, the opportunity to get more.

The Pre-Academy trainings are run in a pool setting following a professional training curriculum that has been created for our Pre-Academy program. The training sessions will be led by our professional coaching staff and senior players.

Players in the Pre-Academy have two 1-hour long training sessions a week on Tuesday and Thursdays. Games are played on Saturday mornings. There are no set teams, and players will be divided up differently each weekend for their games. Depending on interest, teams may be co-ed and with will either play separately from the normal Rec teams if there are enough players, or will play against recreational teams if there are not enough numbers to completely separate the program from U8 Rec.

Additional winter opportunities for the players to participate in, including indoor soccer and winter training.

If your player loves soccer and is craving for more, we highly suggest the St. Charles Pre-Academy program. The level of training and the additional opportunities that are provided will help them develop into the best player they can be. And if your player is interested in moving into club soccer when they are older, the Pre-Academy program is a great stepping stone into the classic soccer/select soccer world, providing them with a good foundation and an advantage for when they do.

U10 Youth Development Program

Year long program. Teams are trained by a licensed professional coach. Teams practice twice per week and compete in local leagues, play friendly matches and compete in local tournaments.

Registration Fee: $700.00

Registration fees may be paid in installments over a 4 month period ($200.00 down/ 5 months of $100) if set up by credit card or automated draft on our online registration system.

U11-U19 Competitive Program

Year long program. Teams are selected through a tryout process and will be trained by a licensed professional coach. Teams practice 2 to 3 times per week. Competitive Teams compete in the statewide Louisiana Competitive Soccer League, friendly matches and tournaments. The amount of travel depends on the level of the team.

Registration Fee: $750.00 (U11-U18)

Covers player and league registration, trainer fees, and a preseason camp.

Registration fees may be paid in installments over a 4 month period ($250.00 down/ 5 months of $100) if set up by credit card or automated draft on our online registration system.

Team Fees

Varies per team, but will include tournament team registration and coaches expense including mileage, per diem, hotel stay if required.

Uniforms

Uniforms will be purchased through Third Coast Soccer.
